Born in Erlangen, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (painting class from Johann Caspar Herterich), then in Hamburg, he was a member of the Association of Drawing Artists in Munich, the Munich Artists' Cooperative and the Reich Association of Visual Artists. He can be assigned to the romantics, bright parents with children, religious motifs, but also the female nude are his determining themes. He brought the art of remarque to mastery. - Small remnants of assembly on the back. Enclosed are the ex-libris etchings for Grete Lenze (Gutenberg 12.330; Dünstl-Walter 95; Opus 97) and Albert Aichinger (Gutenberg 12.293; Dünstl-Walter 1).
